Turning product documents into ready-to-use submittal packages

    Balco · Document workflow · 2026

Architects and contractors need submittal packages that combine product documents from Balco's library of 7,844 documents across 210 products. Assembling them by hand meant repeating the same selection work for every project.

Users assemble documentation for any of 210 products from a saved draft, the package builds in the background from a library of 7,844 documents, and every package can be retrieved later.

Client project · Delivered through Donovan Digital

Moving a public website and private distributor portal to WordPress

    Smoke Guard · Website & portal migration · 2025

Smoke Guard's public website and its private distributor portal ran on Craft CMS, with custom content models, authentication, and internal tools that distributors relied on every day.

The public site and the password-protected distributor portal now run on one WordPress platform the team can maintain, with old URLs redirected.

Connecting quoting, dealer workflows, and manufacturing data

    Euro-Wall · Internal manufacturing platform · Since 2024

Euro-Wall is a door and window manufacturer whose quoting, bills of materials, dealer workflows, and CAD operations all run on one internal platform built in PHP, Vue.js, and MySQL.

Dealers quote complex door and window products and see 3D previews from the same data that drives manufacturing.

What needs to work better?

Start with the problem. We'll work out what needs to be built, repaired, or connected.

  • Your quoting or ordering process lives in spreadsheets and email.

    Business applications and integrations

Quoting tools, customer and dealer portals, document generation, and CRM or CAD integrations built around how your team works.

  • Your WordPress site matters to the business, but nobody owns it.

    Custom WordPress development

Custom plugins, WooCommerce, migrations, portal repairs, and maintenance for websites with real customers depending on them.

  • Something in production is broken and nobody can find it.

    Troubleshooting and recovery

Investigate failed workflows, unreliable integrations, performance problems, and difficult bugs. Define the fix, verify it, and document what changed.

  • Your product needs its next working version.

    Product development

Build or improve applications, authentication, billing, and connected workflows with a clearly defined first milestone.

How we work

Start with one useful milestone.

You don't need to commit to a large rebuild to begin. Tell us what is getting stuck, and we'll define a first step with clear deliverables, scope, and cost.

  • Fix or improve an existing system

A focused engagement for a broken workflow, a difficult integration, or an important website improvement.

    Tell us what you need
  • Build a defined project

    Tell us what you need
  • Continue with ongoing support

Development and maintenance for businesses with a continuing backlog, with agreed capacity and response expectations.

    Tell us what you need

Ongoing support is scoped to your needs. Monthly plans are listed below for a continuing backlog.

How a project runs

  1. 1

    Understand the problem.

Tell us who uses the system, where it gets stuck, and what a successful result would look like.

  2. 2

    Agree on the first milestone.

Define what gets delivered, what it costs, and how you will evaluate the result.

  3. 3

    Build, verify, and hand over.

Review working progress, test the agreed workflow, and document the handoff and support arrangements.

Any included stabilization period and ongoing support are agreed in the project scope.

Common questions

Short answers about how an engagement starts and what to expect afterwards.

Can you work on a site or application someone else built?

Yes. Existing systems, custom WordPress sites, integrations, and production issues are a core part of the work. The first step is understanding the current setup and the change you need.

Do I need a monthly retainer?

No. We can begin with a defined project or a smaller milestone. Ongoing support is available when you need continuing development or maintenance.

What should I send to get started?

A short description of the problem, a relevant website link if available, and any important timing constraints. You do not need a complete technical specification.

What happens after launch?

Handoff, any included stabilization period, and ongoing support are defined in the project scope so expectations are clear.

Who will I work with?

Michael Schultz leads the work and is your technical point of contact. If a project needs additional specialists, their involvement is discussed as part of the scope.
